Here is a recent project. This long window is on a stairway. This window is 39" wide and 140" tall. These pictures show the window before.
Standing at the top or the bottom you can only see half of the window at any one time.
I designed several different patterns. The first had a long center cluster and others had repeating patterns. The home owners didn't want the window to be the center of attention. It had to be nice and not overwhelming.
The other challenge for me was the the window followed the shape of the stairs. I need to make the window in three sections to fit the arch at the top and the stairs at the bottom.
My goal for the design is that it would read from any view.
